Noah Bendix-Balgley, concertmaster with the Berlin Philharmonic, has his roots in klezmer, violinist Sebastian Gürtler in jazz. Cellist Stephan Koncz and Daniel Ottensamer are partly Hungarian, and Ödön Racz on double bass was actually born in Budapest.
All of this flows into the choice of works, compositions and arrangements, which are all written by the Philharmonix themselves.
